I participated in the “Overloop” project with a team from the Informatics Academy Brasov. We built a prototype of a community transport system based on hydraulics and electromagnets. Our inspiration was Elon Musk’s Hyperloop, however our system differs in that the transportation is above ground, with the same feel as today’s buses, except that there is no need for drivers. A magnetic piston is propelled by vacuum and compressed air inside an underground tube. Above ground a bus with a strong magnet placed on its chassis is moved forward by the magnetic repulsive force binding it to the underground piston. Sensors control the bus movement for both regular and exceptional situations: bus stops, traffic lights, pedestrians crossing irregularly, etc.

- First Place at the Regional Stage of the National CodeKids Fest 2021, and qualification for the National competition.
- Third Place at the National Stage of the National CodeKids Fest 2021 organized by the BRD and Progres Foundation.
